Diversity

Charta der Vielfalt (Diversity Charter)

Charta der Vielfalt (Diversity Charter)Lexmark DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) joined Charta der Vielfalt (Diversity Charter) in 2017. Charta der Vielfalt promotes the recognition, appreciation, and integration of diversity in the business culture; 4,500 local companies and organisations have signed the diversity charter, supporting an appreciative and unbiased working environment.

In line with this, Lexmark has set up various diversity teams—the female diversity group, Women@Sales and Young Professionals. The goal is to give underrepresented groups a platform where they can better represent themselves, articulate their specific challenges, voice their workplace requirements and do much more.

DACH Diversity Day

This year’s Diversity Day took place on May 31, 2022. And 37 colleagues took part in this digital event. It started with a keynote and the question: “How diverse are we?” Then a plenary discussion with dedicated colleagues from the DACH team talked about the topic “Where do we stand with regard to diversity.” After that, we had small breakout sessions of six members to discuss the following questions:

  • What keeps you at Lexmark?
  • What is the one thing Lexmark should offer to encourage diversity?
  • How do we integrate diverse participants, and how open are we to diverse people?

The results were presented after each session and recorded on the whiteboard.

The Diversity team identified three main topics based on the feedback from the breakout sessions and will continue to work on these topics in the coming months.

Girls’Day

The Girls’Day event took place in Neu-Isenburg on April 28, 2022. This event aims to get girls interested in jobs not considered classic women’s jobs. Eight enthusiastic girls between 11 and 15 years old took part. Colleagues from different departments helped organise this day for the girls. It is always a lot of fun and an excellent opportunity to get the girls curious about Lexmark.
