Our Approach to Citizenship

CR’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens 2016
Lexmark was ranked 9th in Corporate Responsibility (CR) Magazine’s annual listing. This publication recognizes top performing U.S. public companies. The Ratings are based on disclosure and performance data from publicly available information in Environment, Climate Change, Human Rights, Employee Relations, Corporate Governance, Philanthropy and Finance.


Global Compact 100
Lexmark is recognized in the top 100 companies in the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) global stock index, which combines corporate sustainability and baseline financial performance. GC-100 was developed by UNGC in partnership with research firm Sustainalytics. Lexmark has been included since 2013


EcoVadis Gold CSR Rating
Lexmark received gold recognition level based on the EcoVadis CSR rating for the third consecutive year. Lexmark is in the top 1% of suppliers assessed from 95 countries, 20,000 companies, across 145 business sectors on corporate policies, initiatives and achievements in areas concerning the environment, labor practices, fair business practices and supply chain.


Distinctive ESR® 2016 -Empresa Socialmente Responsable
Lexmark was awarded ESR distinctive by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi) and the Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility (AliaRSE), for the third consecutive year. This recognition is for companies committed to socially responsible management and continuous improvement.

Green Check Partner
Lexmark is a silver rated Green Check Partner. This certification program, by Lexington Environmental Quality and Public Works and Bluegrass Greensource recognizes companies for outstanding sustainability initiatives.


Bicycle Friendly Business award
Silver Class The League of American Bicyclists recognized Lexmark with a Silver award for leading America toward a greener future.


CSR Hungary 2015 Award
Lexmark was honored in the Sustainable Large Company category, which recognizes the most prominent responsible and sustainable initiatives, products, services and products of companies operating in Hungary.


European Business Awards National Champion 2015/16
Lexmark has been selected as a National Champion representing France in the 2015/16 European Business Awards, sponsored by RSM, in Environmental & Corporate Sustainability. This award considers business operations in a social, cultural, economic and environmental context. Corporations are recognized that operate transparently and support employee development and value the consumer and the environment.


Industria Limpia (Clean Industry)
The Mexican Federal Environmental Protection Agency (PROFEPA) granted certification to Lexmark Juarez after a rigorous audit process. This certification is for manufacturers who demonstrate significant environmental responsibility.


Quality Innovative Company 2015
The European Organization for Quality recognized Lexmark based on the six completed projects that the Lexmark Budapest Competence center submitted.


International ICT Awards
Lexmark Cebu received three awards at the International ICT Awards, Best Employer of the Year, Best Company of the Year Outside NCR (National Capital Region) and Most Innovative Company of the year. In addition, Lexmark Cebu was the finalist for Best Global In-House Center of the Year.

Manufacturing Leadership 100 Awards 2016 - High Achiever in Sustainability
Lexmark was recognized as the High Achiever in Sustainability Leadership for the Toner Pave project that uses recycled toner. Two additional awards were received: Customer Value Leadership for customer setup transformation, and, Enterprise Technology Leadership for enterprise social networking.

HRC's Best Places To Work 2017
Lexmark received a perfect score of 100 on the Corporate Equality Index by The Human Rights Campaign Foundation for commitment to equality in the workplace resulting in inclusion in their annual listing. Lexmark has been recognized on the index every year since 2005.


Military Friendly Employer
Lexmark has been recognized in the technology industry by Victory Media Surveys for the second consecutive year. Lexmark's recognition is due to efforts such as: to recruiting veterans, offering military benefits and leave policies and global sourcing efforts with veteran-owned businesses.


Family Friendly Workplace
Lexmark Budapest has been recognized by Három Királyfi with Három Királylány movement (a widely recognized nonprofit organization in Hungary) for integrating family-friendly activities into the site’s CSR programs.


Você S/A Magazine’s Top 150 places to work in Brazil
Lexmark has been recognized on Você S/A Magazine’s annual list which is considered among the most prestigious awards for companies in Brazil. The list criteria is based on topics including human resources practices, leadership, career, health practices and work environment.


When Work Works Award
Lexmark has been recognized nationally for the eighth consecutive year for commitment to workplace flexibility.

2014

CR’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens 2014
Lexmark was ranked 35th in Corporate Responsibility (CR) Magazine’s 15th annual listing. This is the fourth consecutive year that Lexmark has been selected for inclusion in this publication that recognizes top performance of public companies in the U.S. Ratings are based on disclosure and performance data from publicly available information in Environment, Climate Change, Human Rights, Employee Relations, Corporate Governance, Philanthropy and Finance.

2014-2015 Global Compact 100
Lexmark is recognized in the top 100 companies in the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) global stock index, which combines corporate sustainability and baseline financial performance. GC-100 was developed by UNGC in partnership with research firm Sustainalytics. This is UNGC's second listing and Lexmark's second time to be included.

EcoVadis Gold CSR Rating
Lexmark received the highest gold rating in a sustainability survey conducted by EcoVadis. Suppliers from 99 countries and across 150 business sectors on corporate policies, initiatives and achievements in areas concerning the environment, labor practices, fair business practices and supply chain.

Most Trustworthy Public Companies 2014 Top Ten list
Trust Across America (TAA) recognized Lexmark as fifth on its America’s Most Trustworthy Public Companies 2014 Top Ten list. Public companies with the highest five-year ranking on five equally weighted quantitative indicators of trustworthiness: financial stability, accounting conservativeness, corporate governance, transparency and sustainability. Companies are not nominated and do not participate in the analysis or apply. They are independently identified with the highest scores in all five indicators.

Top 25 Southeastern Sustainable Companies
Lexmark was ranked first for companies headquartered in Kentucky. The Southeastern Corporate Sustainability Rankings is a combination of rigorous strategy, analytics and world-class design, and provides a reliable, cross industry framework for comparing the performance of major companies that are committed to sustainability.

CSX recognized Lexmark as an outstanding supplier in Corporate Social Responsibility at the annual Greenbrier Railroad Summit hosted by CSX in December 2014. Lexmark partners with CSX to reduce their paper waste, which contributes to a reduction of their corporate carbon footprint.

2014 Ambassadors of Science Literacy
The Kentucky Science Center in Louisville, Kentucky, recognizes groups serving the region through creativity, open-mindedness and a willingness to challenge the status quo. Lexmark’s commitment to cultivating a corporate culture of investing with financial human resources demonstrates an impact essential to STEM awareness.

Lexmark is ranked fifteenth out of the top 350 U.S. companies on Maplecroft’s 2012 Climate Innovation Index, which is a biannual listing.

Top 100 Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business Behavior
Lexmark Chairman and CEO, Paul Rooke, was included in this top 100 list based on being in the news, fitting the philosophical profile, and/or generating change and being nominated by colleagues.

PEZA Outstanding Employer of the Year
Lexmark Research and Development Corporation (LRDC) garnered two top awards in 2011 from the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA). LRDC was honored as Outstanding Employer of the Year and for Best in Community Projects, the second year in a row for that award.

LRDC joined three other companies in the category for outstanding employers in the IT sector. The award is given to companies that have generated the most number of jobs and have maintained labor-management harmony. The award is also for companies that provide the best care to their employees.

2011 Access Award Winner
American Foundation for the Blind honored Lexmark for its Accessibility solution. The web-based application gives visually impaired individuals unprecedented user-friendly command of the copy, fax, scan and e-mail features on many multifunction products.
